Prior to his role as President, Vijay was a Branch Manager and Vice President of RBC Dominion Securities in Vancouver at the Park Place branch, where he led one of Canada’s largest teams of Investment Advisors and Portfolio Managers. Vijay received a number of RBC awards for managing this leading team in client service and wealth management. Prior to joining RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel, Vijay was named a Director for RBC Dominion Securities, the largest full-service brokerage in Canada.

His experience before joining RBC included working in the financial services industry and operating a small business. While working towards his CA designation, he articled at a major national accounting firm, after which he joined RBC Dominion Securities in 1994 as an Investment Advisor.

Vijay earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and his professional designations include Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Chartered Accountant (CA).
