Randy graduated from Dalhousie University, with an Honours degree in Economics, before starting his career in 1986, focusing on discretionary investment management. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1991 and has been in senior roles in the Canadian investment industry, including Managing Director of CT Private Investment Counsel where he directed their firm’s activities for Eastern Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces. Randy joined RBC in 2000, taking on his current role as Vice President and Managing Director of RBC’s discretionary investment management business.
Randy is a member of the CFA Institute and a member and past-president of the Atlantic Canada Financial Analysts Society. He has been a board member of the Canadian Martyrs Basketball Club for a number of years, and coach of youth sports, including basketball and soccer.
